THE MAAS BUILDING BASIC REHEARSAL & CLASS POLICY GUIDELINES

1)   Our minimum booking slot is 2 hours.
2)   Book your time precisely. For short classes or rehearsals (<3 hrs), your access time is precisely as you’ve booked it - and no longer.  Please book your setup and breakdown time accordingly.
3)   For longer Classes/Rehearsals (3+hrs), you may arrive 15 minutes ahead of class/rehearsal time, and take 15 minutes of leeway at the end of your booked time. 
4)   You will successfully follow the protocol for leaving the Maas Space, below.
5)   If the Maas Space is not clear and clean or left as it should be at the start of your booked time, (including lights and AC) you are responsible for reporting the problem to Maas Staff immediately.

 PROTOCOL FOR LEAVING THE MAAS SPACE

1)   All chairs and tables folded and leaned up against wall and/or hung from chair rack.
2)   The space must be swept clear of debris and all trash properly disposed of in trash or recycling containers.
3)   All lights and air conditioners must be turned off at the end of your time.
4)   If you have taped the front door latch, be sure to remove tape
5)   The space must be left clear of your belongings after your Class/Rehearsal
6)   If you wish to store any props/set pieces/belongings beyond your booked time, you must address it with Maas Building Staff ahead of time.
7)   The Maas Building is not responsible for any items left on the premises.

I acknowledge that if I do not follow these guidelines, I may be presented with a charge from the Maas Building for negligence.   

 CANCELLATION POLICY

Canceling a class or rehearsal:
1 week ahead of time = 100% credit  72hrs ahead = 50%  <72 hrs ahead = 0%
Canceling a larger block of booked time 
2 months (notice) = 100%  1 month = 75%   2 weeks = 50%  <2 weeks = 0%

Please give us at least 1 week to process any payments for any $ returned.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

 

In consideration of the services of TS, Maas, LLC., its agents, owners, employees, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on its behalf (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Maas"),  I hereby agree to release and discharge The Maas Building, on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate as follows:

 

1.  I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in the activities, both known and unknown, involved in the __________________________class, which is taking place on a regular basis in the Maas Building. My participation in these activities is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in these activities.

2. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maas from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with my participation in these activities or my use of Maas's facilities, including any such claims which I, my children, parents, heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate have or may have that allege ordinary negligent acts or omissions of Maas.

 

I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS RELEASE INCLUDES ALL CLAIMS AGAINST MAAS ARISING FROM ITS ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE CLAIMS ARISING FROM MAAS’S ALLEGED GROSS NEGLIGENCE.

 

3. I agree that the validity and enforceability of this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk will be governed by the substantive law of Pennsylvania.

4. I agree to abide by the rules of the facility.

 

By signing this document, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in these activities, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my rights to maintain a lawsuit against Maas for any claim that I released by signing this document.

 

I HAVE HAD SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD IT, AND I AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS.
