Jonathan Davenport | Moonheart | Green and Glass

MAAS Building's "The 5th Side" (Garden Entrance)
Thursday 4.18

//Jonathan Davenport//

Featuring collaborators Ricardo Lagomasino (Lucy Dacus, Lithuania, Deleted Scenes), Tom Deis (Uni Ika Ai, Via Audio), Isaac Stanford (Slowey and the Boats, The Sunset Club), and Ilan Isakov (Compositions Innumerable), Jonathan Davenport (Dirty Projectors, Buried Beds) presents romps and ruminations on love, nature, and doom.

Moonheart is an electro-soul duo made up of singer/guitarist Kim Mayo and producer/keyboardist Michael Sachs. Together, they create a sound at once surreal and deeply personal; Mayo’s intimate storytelling and warm, eclectic vocals blended with Sachs’s lush, driving production bend and weave to create a sound at once deeply familiar and refreshingly new. Based in Brooklyn, the duo crystallized in the Winter of 2015, and released their first EP, Blow, in October 2016. The trio of songs, connected in their minimalism, romance, and nostalgia, have been described by The Line of Best Fit as "an eerie delight that leaves the listener prying for more,” and as a collection of “tender pop songs that drift between genres effortlessly” by Gold Flake Paint. They are set to release their second EP, feel it out, via Otherfeels in October of 2018.

//Green and Glass//
